Importance of Drama Education

I think Drama is important because it teaches confidence in large groups as well as working as a community to support each other. I believe these are building blocks for kids for other subjects. What do you think??? Please be honest!!

I took drama in high school and I loved it. I was with a group of friends that really helped to create a comfortable environment, which is important because it can be so intimidating to get up in front of people you don't know. I really love improv games, and I have used them in elementary classrooms, because the kids love them and they can be a great ice-breaker!

I think drama is a great way to involve students. I do not believe you will be able to get everyone to partcipate in a way in which they feel comfortable.
